Satin Peels are best for patients who are ready for the next level and who can tolerate a little downtime.
We use our Erbium laser to peel the entire outer 5-20 microns of skin, resulting in brand new skin that is immediately brighter and tighter. Treatment is given by our Physician Assistant, Jessie Mallalieu.

Details
The Erbium Laser works by gently removing the uppermost layers of skin from the treated area. This light ‘buffing’ reveals the fresh, youthful skin that was hidden from view.
The provider will apply a layer of numbing cream one hour before your treatment begins. After the numbing cream is removed, the provider will pulse your skin with the laser. Most people perceive the ‘pulsing’ as a warm buzzing sensation.
Your skin will be red and dry for 2-5 days after your treatment. You may experience light flaking and peeling of dry skin for up to 7 days after treatment.
Most individuals see immediate improvement after just 1 treatment. We recommend a habit of Satin Peels 2-4 times a year for patients that prefer this type of peel.
Most reactions to the treatment are temporary. Serious complications are rare but possible. There are rare reports of:
- Bruising
- Swelling
- Slight bleeding
- Blistering
- Pigment changes (lightening or darkening of skin) which can last up to 1-6 months after treatment
